Minds Eye Installs New Advisory Board Members

Minds Eye recently welcomed four new members to the Leadership Advisory Board. The board is a group of local professionals who are committed to guiding and growing Minds Eye. They help the Provincial Council of Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, by being their eyes and ears on the ground to ensure Minds Eye’s actions are fiscally and legally responsible. The Leadership Advisory Board is also the driving force behind Minds Eye’s two fundraisers, Soiree pour la Vue and the Beepball Tournament.

Gary Eberhardt found out about Minds Eye at a colleague’s mother’s funeral. The mother had been a Minds Eye listener and he thought it would be the perfect thing for his mother-in-law who has macular degeneration. The more he heard about the organization, the more he wanted to be a part of it. Gary is a lawyer with Greensfelder, Hemker& Gale, P.C.

Cynthia Todd is a familiar face to many people currently on the Leadership Advisory Board. Cynthia has been involved with Minds Eye as the St. Louis American reader since 2006. She has served on our Program Standards Committee and most recently was a part of our record breaking Soiree pour la Vue committee. Cynthia is the owner of CJ Todd Communications.

Mickey Warriner found Minds Eye two years ago when looking for a volunteer job. She joined the
Beepball Committee, the Soiree Committee and also serves as a substitute reader. Mickey has worked hard to get several new sponsors for each of the events and is excited to see them grow. Mickey works at Jacobs Engineering as a Senior Interior Designer.

Gen Gillespie is Minds Eye’s second Olin School of Business Board Fellow. The Board Fellows program is a joint effort between Washington University, the United Way and local nonprofits to give MBA candidates an opportunity to serve on boards of nonprofits. Gen has a legal and
human resources background and is excited to share his expertise with Minds Eye
