BLINDFOLDS ON!You know that once the Cardinals come home to their roost at Busch Stadium that Beepball cannot be very far behind. If you have never seen people blindfold themselves while playing baseball, you have to see this! Mark your calendars for this season. Teams will be playing at the St. Simon the Apostle Fields in Affton on May 30 and at Laderman Park in Belleville on May 31. The Minds Eye Beepball Championship will be at GCS Stadium in Sauget. That game will pit our two best teams against each other for rights to the title of the Ultimate St. Louis Beepball Champion. The last two years, tournament sponsor Allsup has taken home the bragging rights; join us to see if they can three-peat! Remember the championship, as well as the tournament games, are free to the public. Teams are still forming and there are wide ranges of sponsorship levels available. For more information call us at 618-394-6444 or 314-241-3400 ext. 6444, or visit www.mindseyeradio.org.

worked in clerical roles, planning events, producing, serving
on the Leadership Advisory Board, and in so many other
tasks. In 2008, the volunteers of Minds Eye provided the
blind and print disabled residents of our area over 10,100 It is not just free labor that the volunteers give. They supply the station with a connection to the communities we serve. They provide insight and ideas to problems we face. They are the face of Minds Eye to their friends, family, neighbors, and people they meet. We need the support of our volunteers more and more every day. I ask you to consider if you could be a Minds Eye

Could you help plan events or help us with computer
work? Maybe something else you can do would make The third week of April is National Volunteer Appreciation Week; actually, around Minds Eye, EVERY week is Volunteer Appreciation Week. If you are a volunteer here at Minds Eye or anywhere, thank you for making our community and our world a better place with your work. |
